This is the story of a young man, in his formative years, growing up in the hurly-burly of Georgian London, and developing into one of our most famous home-grown artists. We'll be covering the early days which shaped him into a street-wise Cockney businessman, from the sights and sounds of the racy Covent Garden area he knew, to the events and circumstances of life in our capital city from the late 18th Century onwards which influenced his development as an artist.
